A wide range of voice disorders is diagnosed in school‑age children and adolescents. For the purposes of this article, a study was conducted with parents of children aged 4–6. The voice disability index (pVHI) was used for the study. The pVHI questionnaire consists of three parts: functional, emotional and physical subscales. In all three age groups of the studied children, the highest mean values of pVHI were found in the functional subscale, while the five‑year‑olds, who obtained the most points in the study, are the most likely to have a higher degree of voice disability.
