Abstract

In the context of considerations about the presence and absence of the Spirit and spirituality in the world, understanding this category and relating it to the sciences of education in an interdisciplinary approach, a description of the content of the 12th volume of the journal “Nauki o Wychowaniu. Interdisciplinary Studies”.

Author Biographies

Anna Walczak, Uniwersytet Łódzki

Walczak, Anna – habilitated doctor, professor at the University of Lodz. She works at the Department of Social Pedagogy and Rehabilitation at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Lodz. Her research interests focus on the philosophy of education and ethics from a phenomenological, hermeneutic and dialogical perspective. In her works, she reconstructs existential pedagogy, also referring to narratology and related biographical approaches (narrative identity), heterology and cultural psychology inspired mainly by the thought of C. G. Jung. Recently she published (as a co-author) Doświadczenie duchowości. Konteksty filozoficzno-literackie (Experience of Spirituality. Philosophical and Literary Contexts) (2019).

Marek Budajczak, Uniwersytet im. A. Mickiewicza w Poznaniu

Budajczak, Marek – habilitated doctor, professor at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan. He is the head of the Alternative Education Laboratory at the Faculty of Educational Studies at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan. His research interests focus on educational alternatives with particular emphasis on home education, semantics in education, and pedagogical and educational ethics. President of the Educatio Domestica Institute. Author of the monograph entitled Edukacja domowa (Home Education) (three editions: 2002, 2004, 2020).

Artur Jocz, Uniwersytet im. A. Mickiewicza w Poznaniu

Jocz, Artur – habilitated doctor, professor at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznan. Currently, he works at the Faculty of Anthropology and Cultural Studies of the Adam Mickiewicz University. His research involves the search for connections between philosophy, religion and literature. So far, he has researched, among others the works of Tadeusz Miciński, Stanisław Przybyszewski, Jerzy Hulewicz, and Bruno Schulz using gnostic/neognostic conceptual categories to read the literary output of the artists mentioned. Recently he published (as a co-author) Doświadczenie duchowości. Konteksty filozoficzno-literackie (Experience of Spirituality. Philosophical and Literary Contexts) (2019).
