Dynamics of land use changes in small cities of the śląskie voivodeship

Modern cities are increasingly feeling very clearly that space is a limited resource. The need for more rational land use is a wisdom knowledge, that why monitoring of changes in land use is being carried out. The paper presents the results of the analysis of land use changes in small towns of the Śląskie Voivodeship based on data from Corine Land Cover in the years 1990–2018. The study was conducted based on indicators constructed by the European Environment Agency related to land recycling. In addition, directions of spatial development of small cities were analyzed, indicating the general characteristics of the observed changes.
