Abstract

The article illustrates one of the Pieniny village – Hałuszowa. It presents two aspects: geographical and historical one. The aim is to highlight the knowledge about the above mentioned topic. The article is also the reason for further research and broaden monographic elaboration. The information on Hałuszowa village which has been published up to now is restricted to short descriptions in guidebooks. This article was created on the basis of currently existing sources – literature and induced sources such as interviews and observations during field study. The geographical aspect is about the location, the environment and local toponymy. The historical aspect presents the foundation of the village and some facts of its history.
