Persuasive explications: the case of the social sciences

The subject of the work is one of the fundamental methodological procedures for conceptual analysis, which is explication. The article focuses on persuasive explanations found in the field of social sciences. The work contains a model approach to such explications and an analysis of their representative examples. The text also provides a general characterisation of the language of social sciences and the properties of the notional and terminological apparatus that constitute this language. The paper also comments on the polarization of epistemological positions in the social sciences and humanities.
