Influence of the European Union funds on develepment of rural regions

Abstract

The aim of the publication “Influence of the European Union funds on develepment of rural regions” is to present and evaluate extent of usage of the European Union funds allocated for different beneficiaries as well as for other activities. There are shown barriers and difficulties connected with using the EU funds despite quite a big scale of their availibility.

It turns out that that within the confines of the EU support programs, the financial means let farmers to develop and modernize their farms. They are effective in rise of agricultural production, improvement of work condtions, increase of effectiveness and competetiveness of running the farms. Besides, activities that are taken by farms of small economic potential and which are in particular fields covered by the support funds, help them to increase their economic vitality.
