The role of “Peasants’ Self – Help” co-operatives in the life of village (1944–1989)

This paper describes the conditions of establishing new socialist cooperatives for peasants after the World War II according to the patterns of central planned economy and new political goals changing the Polish society into equity. The economic and socio-cultural role of these co-ops were shown in the process of village’s modernization.
