Abstract

The article presents the content of the fourteenth issue of “Educational Sciences. Interdisciplinary Studies” which offers an interdisciplinary discussion about the relationships between the educating and socialising processes and the categories of identity, body, and gender.

Katarzyna Gajek, Uniwersytet Łódzki

Katarzyna Gajek – Ph.D., social pedagogue, Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Pedagogy and Rehabilitation at the University of Lodz. Research interests: gender studies, the problem of violence (in family, bullying, human trafficking), social exclusion and the process of empowerment, and qualitative research methodology (especially biographical research and critical discourse analysis).

Izabela Desperak, Uniwersytet Łódzki

Izabela Desperak – sociologist, Assistant Professor at the Institute of Sociology at the University of Lodz, member of the Interdisciplinary Seminar on Gender at the Centre of Social Educations at the University of Lodz. Research interests: gender inequalities, feminization of poverty, and the gendered dimensions of political transformation. She is the author of the book Płeć zmiany. Zjawisko transformacji w Polsce z perspektywy gender (2013; revised edition, 2017), co-editor of the series “Oblicza Feminizmu” published by the University of Lodz Press.
