Abstract

The article focuses on the phenomenon of modern mass culture, such as the netliterature; the specifics of functioning the Tsar-derivative series of nominations with the indecipherable appraisal component of the king is shown (Tsar Cannon, Tsar Bell, Tsar Fish, Tsar Maiden, Tsar Country, etc.). On the basis of the analysis of linguistic material, two thematic groups of tsar-derivatives are distinguished: “Nature and its components” and “Public political and cultural life”. It has been revealed that the king-derivatives are frequent in poetic texts; a precedent name is often used as a title. Creation of creolized texts within the framework of the netliterature has been noted.
