Abstract

In the spring of 1939 the elections to the town council were held in Szadek. Because of the lack of archival material, the composition of the last local government before the outbreak of World War II is not known. Indirect information about some of the candidates to the town council and the course of the election campaign have been obtained from a leaflet entitled “To the Citizens of the Town of Szadek”.
