Abstract

The article describes research conducted in the commune of Fabbriche di Vergemoli, which consisted of interviews as well as film and photographic documentation. It is also an attempt to answer the following question: is art meaningful for the inhabitants of small communities, and what type of art has an impact on the local community?

Author Biography

  • Tamara Sass, Uniwersytet Łódzki

    Tamara Sass – graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw (diploma with honors received at the Faculty of Graphics), Ph.D. at the Faculty of Painting and Graphics of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lodz. Academic teacher with 20 years of experience. Currently associated with the Faculty of Educational Sciences of the University of Lodz. Artist living and working in Lodz who deals primarily with graphic arts and design, complemented by sculptures and animations. She publishes in the field of art education. She took part in dozens of individual and collective exhibitions, including: at the National Museum in Gdansk and in local and international graphic competitions, i.e. International Triennial of Small Graphic Forms in Lodz, “Eurografik” in St. Petersburg, International Graphic Biennial at the Saint-Maur Museum in France.
