Alter-biography: biography of care and domestic workers as identity substance of their employers

Biographic research in social science is in fact a very rich and complex set of research designs, with diversified methods and research problems. What can be individuated as a common thread is the focus on a certain ego, an individual, whose life history is worth reconstruction and examination as such.
I propose to enlarge the scope of biographic research beyond the above individuated common area, to embrace the analysis of ways in which elements of biography of non-ego, or other are employed in narrative. This alterbiographic approach is supposed to determine what kind of identity and narrative asset is biography (of others).
The paper presents analysis and interpretation of ways of using elements of biographies of domestic workers by their employers in narratives.
