Abstrakt

Artykuł analizuje problematykę zaburzeń odżywiania u mężczyzn z perspektywy genderowej, koncentrując się na roli stereotypów, stygmatyzacji i autostygmatyzacji jako na istotnych czynnikach psychospołecznych, które utrudniają rozpoznanie, leczenie i proces zdrowienia. Na podstawie narracyjnego przeglądu 50 publikacji naukowych z lat 2000–2024 tekst ukazuje, że stereotypowe postrzeganie ED jako „kobiecego zaburzenia” prowadzi do niedodiagnozowania mężczyzn i pogłębia ich cierpienie. Omówiono również różnice w obrazie klinicznym, bariery kulturowe oraz wpływ norm hegemonicznej męskości na opóźnianie pomocy. Artykuł wskazuje potrzebę zmiany narzędzi diagnostycznych i praktyk terapeutycznych na bardziej inkluzywne płciowo oraz apeluje o działania edukacyjne przeciwdziałające piętnowaniu mężczyzn z ED.
