In Kolonia Starostwo Szadek, at the crossroads between Szadek, Warta, Błaszki and Zduńska Wola, there is a monument put up in 1938, on the 20th anniversary of the regaining of independence by Poland. The monument is dedicated to heroes killed during the fights for independence in the years 1918–1920.The funds were raised thanks to the generosity of the local community, and on a concrete plinth was erected a granite block with a plaque commemorating the names of ten soldiers.
