Review procedure

  • The texts are posted by authors on the Index Copernicus International platform through the journal's website (the tab “FOR THE AUTHORS”).
  • The texts are subject to a preliminary evaluation by the members of the Editorial Board from the point of view of compliance with the journal's profile and the basic requirements concerning the content level and the scientific workshop. The texts must not infringe third-party copyrights and other intellectual property rights (i.e. anti-plagiarism verification). Texts that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted.
  • The editorial office accepts only texts that have not been previously published or submitted to the publisher of another periodical. In special cases, it is possible to publish a translation of a text originally published in a foreign language.
  • The texts are reviewed by two competent reviewers selected by the Editorial Board. In the case of special issues, the guest editor can also recommend candidates for reviewers. Candidates for reviewers have to be accepted by the Editorial Board.
  • The editorial office applies the principle of the double-blind review process, according to which the reviewer and the author do not know each other's identity, and also the principle of no conflict of interest between them.
  • The selected reviewers log in to the Index Copernicus International Scientists panel to access the anonymized text and the review forms.
  • The content of the review is shared with the author. The author is invited to respond to the reviewers' comments and to consider introducing possible modifications to the text.
  • The Editorial Board, based on the analysis of the comments and recommendations contained in the reviews and also the response to them by the author, qualifies the text for further stages of the publishing process, or decided to reject it.
  • In the case of special issues, the guest editor becomes a temporary member of the Editorial Board and participates in its meetings in an advisory role.
