Abstract

This article deals with use of museums in teaching and educational work of a teacher of Polish. In the introduction the author explains the term of text placing museums in out-of-literary texts of culture. Further on, she analyses the place a museum takes in teaching, school curriculum and manuals, proving almost lack of interest in the role of the museum in educational teaching process. The author discusses at length legitimacy of using museums in teaching of the Polish language practice and describes forms of using museum content, especially during museum lessons. Finally, in conclusion, hope is expressed that museums will find a well deserved place in educating a younger generation and their role will be fully appreciated in theory and practice of the teacher of Polish.
