The conference “Herstories. Women’s Organic Work” took place in October 2022 as the first fully herstory-based event organised in the General Dabrowski Palace in Winna Góra, a cultural institution of the Wielkopolska Regional Government. The theme of the conference was the history of Wielkopolska women organists. Their activities can inspire solutions to current problems. The idea was to bring together socially engaged women from different sectors and professions to share experiences. The participants presented their own experiences of social, cultural and educational work. They also shared their knowledge of fundraising and cooperation with local authorities. Emphasising the importance of discovering and incorporating herstory as a narrative that co-creates national identity and inspires the struggle for social justice in the broadest sense was an essential element of the conference. The event was accompanied by an exhibition of handicrafts made by local artists from the Średzkie district. These were members of rural women’s circles and individual artists. On the second day of the conference, a workshop on eco-feminism was held for women from the local area.
