Abstract

The novels of Alina Bronsky examined in this article articulate a significant critique of the neoliberal, anthropocentric, and patriarchal structuring of life and society. This mode of thinking is identified as the root cause of the inequalities, discrimination, and violence affecting both humans and nature. In light of convivialist principles, the emphasis placed by Bronsky’s female protagonists on solidarity and the interdependence of all beings can be understood as an individual and personal contribution to a new way of living together.

Author Biography

Montserrat Bascoy Lamelas, University of Alcalá

Dr., ist an der Fakultät für Moderne Sprachen der Universidad de Alcalá tätig. Im Jahr 2007 wurde sie mit einer Dissertation über die Konstruktion literarischer Mythen in der Frauenliteratur des 19. Jahrhunderts promoviert. Ihr Forschungsschwerpunkt liegt auf der deutschsprachigen Literatur von Frauen vom Ende des 18. Jahrhunderts bis heute. Ihr wissenschaftliches Interesse gilt unter anderem autobiografischen oder autofiktionalen Schriften, wobei sie den Fokus auf weibliche Identität, gesellschaftspolitische Realitäten aus weiblicher Perspektive sowie die Erfahrung von Migration und Exil legt. Ihre jüngsten Veröffentlichungen befassen sich mit der Arbeit von Autorinnen wie Lisa Fittko, Julia Rabinowich, Olga Grjasnowa, Alina Bronsky, Wlada Kolosowa und Katerina Poladjan. Derzeit ist sie an dem Forschungsprojekt Szenarien von Prekarität, Gewalt und Verwundbarkeit in der aktuellen deutschsprachigen Literatur (EsPreLit)[CM/DEMG/2024-017] der Universidad de Alcalá beteiligt.
