Guixia Xie - School of International Studies, Sun Yat-sen University, China

Guixia Xie is an Associate Professor in the School of International Studies, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. Her research interests cover Shakespeare translation, adaptation, reception in China and literary translation studies. Her recent publications on Shakespeare include the chapter “‘Dis’covering Hamlet in China: A Case Analysis of Book Covers of the Chinese Hamlet” in Multimodal Approaches to Chinese-English Translation and Interpreting, edited by Zhang Meifang and Feng Dezheng (Routledge, 2021) and Rhetorical Devices and Style of Hamlet (Sun Yat-sen University Press, 2020). She is also a practicing translator. Her recent translation is The Change of Narrative Modes in Chinese Fiction (Springer, 2022).

Sabina Laskowska-Hinz - University of Gdansk, Poland

Sabina Laskowska-Hinz lectures on English Literature at the University of Gdansk in Poland. She recently completed her Ph.D. entitled “The image of it gives me content already:” The Critical Interpretations of Polish Theatrical Posters for Shakespeare Productions in the Years 1966-1989. A Study of Motives and Approaches (University of Warsaw, 2022). She is a member of the British Shakespeare Association, the European Shakespeare Research Association, and the Polish Shakespeare Society. She participated in numerous Polish and international conferences on Shakespeare Studies. Her main fields of interest include the relationships between text and image, Shakespeare theatre posters and artists as literary critics. She has published articles in journals such as Multicultural Shakespeare: Translation, Appropriation and Performance, Anglica, Shakespeare en devenir.

Ted Motohashi - Tokyo University of Economics, Japan

Ted Motohashi is a Professor of Cultural Studies at the Tokyo University of Economics, and the President of the Japanese section of the International Association of Theatre Critics. He received his D.Phil. in Literature from the University of York, the U.K. in 1995. His publications include several books on drama, cultural and postcolonial studies, and most recently he edited “All the world’s his stage:” Asian Interventions in Global Shakespeare with Poonam Trivedi and Paromita Chakravarti (Routledge, 2020). He is a leading translator into Japanese of the works by Homi Bhabha, Gayatri Spivak, Rey Chow, Judith Butler, Noam Chomsky, and Arundhati Roy, among others.

Jie Tang - School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, China

Jie Tang is a Ph.D. candidate in the School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, China. Her research focuses on John Milton and early modern science. She has published a book review in Multicultural Shakespeare: “Mo Zhi. Mo Zhi’s Notes on Shakespeare’s Sonnets” (2021).

Yuying Wang - School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, China

Yuying Wang is a Ph.D. student in the School of International Studies, Zhejiang University, China. Her research focuses on science fiction and early modern literature. She has published an article in Neohelicon: “A Study of Desires and Emotions in Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?” (2022).
