Rzgów – spatial organization of a new town in Łódź voyevodeship

Abstract

The emersion of a new town in Łódź voyevodeship has arisen interest angled at factors causing its development. Rzgów has positive actual population growth which as a rarity among Łódź voyevodeship towns. It has got the biggest private building complex as well as very good technical facilities equipment. Accordingly, land development in Rzgów area shows the nature of residential estate and its economic value. An attempt to answer the question – why Rzgów has become a show-place among Łódź voyevodeship towns has been made.

The analyses show the factors causing town development as well as possible limitations bearing in its development.
