The Falklands War in the British Parliamentary Debates of 1982

This article focuses on the Falklands/Malvinas conflict, which took place between April 2 and June 15, 1982, between the United Kingdom and Argentina. It is presented through an analysis of parliamentary debates held in both houses of the institution during the war. The UK Parliament, comprising the House of Lords and the House of Commons, continues to serve as the central forum for the exchange of views between key political groups. Seats gained in general elections enable the winning political group to form a government.
