Abstract

The inharmonious rate by which country children 3-6 years old (116 girls and 100 boys) attaint morphological maturity, induced us to detect the formation of values of some traits in groups of calendar and ‘developmental age (weight and growing).

A through analysis of results brought us to following conclusions: country children examined during their ontogenetic period prove to reach their morphological maturity in a rather unequal rate The arithmetic average of the majority of traits differ but little in groups of calendar age and growing age. However, we observe some marked differences in values of the standard deviation which, in the majority of traits, are lesser in growing age groups. Individuals grouped according to their growing age manifest a greater homogeneity lin the advancing development of their somatic traits.
