Abstract

On the material of 100 human fetuses aged 13 through 40 weeks rate of development and changes in shape and proportions of feet with age were observed. Dynamical development of observed characteristics occurs in fifth. seventh and ninth month of fetal life while slower growth is observed in perinatal period. During fetal part of ontogeny foot becomes wider. medial margin of foot is lenghtened and share of toes in total foot length diminishes. In proportion of toes most frequently observed types are: 1>2>3 and 2>1>8.
