Abstrakt

Artykuł jest poświęcony analizie mongolskiej polityki wewnętrznej w latach 1221–1229. Skupiono się w nim na problemach dotyczących sukcesji, które nastąpiły po odwrocie Mongołów z Chorezmu. W tekście zakwestionowano wersję sporu sukcesyjnego, którą przedstawiono w Tajnej historii Mongołów. Według autora jest ona częściowo fałszywa z powodu włączenia Dżocziego do rozmowy między Czyngis-chanem oraz jego innymi synami. Najnowsze badania, uzupełnione przekazem zawartym w kronice Raszida ad-Dina, pokazują, że Dżoczi nie mógł uczestniczyć w rozmowie z powodu choroby.

Mgr Rafał Szewczyk – absolwent historii II stopnia na Uniwersytecie Łódzkim. W 2025 r. zakończył studia magisterskie, pisząc pracę dyplomową pt. Polityka Mongołów wobec krajów Bliskiego Wschodu w latach 1219–1265 w świetle wybranych źródeł.
Zainteresowania naukowe: historia imperium mongolskiego oraz Chin w średniowieczu.
