International Conference in memory of Professor Mark Sokolyansky, 24–26 September 2026 in Odesa, Ukraine

We are deeply honoured to have been invited to present at the international conference in memory of Professor Mark Sokolyansky, organised jointly by Academic Centre “Science and Education”, Ukrainian Shakespeare Centre, Worldwide Club of Odesites, Odesa UNESCO City of Literature, and Ukrainian Cosmopolis. The conference took place on 24–26 September 2026 in Odesa, Ukraine. Professor Mark Sokolyansky had been a member of our journal since 2003, and contributed to its growth with his expertise, as well as his articles and reviews. Professor Nataliya Torkut and Dr Daria Moskvitina wrote a touching tribute to Professor Sokolyansky published in the special issue of Multicultural Shakespeare: Translation, Appropriation and Performance devoted in its entirety to Ukrainian Shakespeareana: the volume itself was also discussed during the conference by its curators, Professor Nicoleta Cinpoes and Dr Imke Lichterfeld. Professor Sokolyansky's contributions to the journal were discussed by Dr Anna Kowalcze-Pawlik.
