Peer Review Process and Policy

After review, two reviewers choose one of the following four categories for each article: „very positive (the text can be published without corrections)”, „positive (the text can be published with minor corrections)”, „acceptable (the text can be published with major corrections)” or „unacceptable (the text cannot be published in the journal)”.

Texts receiving two positive reviews („very positive” or „positive”) or one category of „very positive” or „positive” and one category of „acceptable (the text can be published with major corrections)” will be shortlisted for publication.

Texts receiving two negative reviews („unacceptable”) or one category of „unacceptable” and one category of „acceptable: the text can be published with substantial modifications” will not be published.

For articles where one of the two reviews is „unacceptable” and the other „positive” or „very positive”, the third evaluation will be carried out.

For articles with two evaluations indicating “acceptable (text can be published with substantial modifications)”, the editorial team will take the final decision on whether or not to continue with the editorial process for the article in question.
