Examined skulls (about 395 specimens) were deposited in a crypt of St. Benedie. Monastery at Lubiń approximately during years 1500-1700. The skulls belonged to persons of both sexes deceased at various ages (juvenile to senile). Arithmetic means and standard deviations for basic craniometric characteristics are given. Examined skulls were compared, by means of Penrose method, to craniological series originating from Southern and Western Poland. It has been found that skulls from Lubiń, although Tw excavated at a typical cemetery, constitute a representative sample of a local population (normal intragroup variability and similarity to series from the neighbourhood).
