Abstract

The article presents the results of a research that was held in 2009-2011in Western Pomerania region on the group of 729 industrial enterprises. The basic aim was to determine the impact of companies' technical advancement on their innovative activity. The main hypothesis was, that the tendency to implement innovative solutions in companies' grows in direct proportion to the stage of the manufactur- ing technique that are used by industrial enterprises. This hypothesis was positively con.fi rmed. This was shown in particular in the case of innovation attributes like: investments in R&D, investments in new buildings and land and innovation cooperation with Polish Academy of Science units.
