The analysis of the external factors that influence the economy of the border region in Ukraine in terms of cooperation with European Union

Abstract

lt is not a secret that after 22 years of independence Ukraine's economy is still much centralized with regional disproportions. However nowadays there are different European initiatives that engage regions into cooperation and development by themselves. This especially concerns border regions. ln the article we analyze the actions, projects and instruments of European Union which in.fi uence directly the economy of border region in Ukraine, particularly the elements of neighborhood policy, the activity of euroregions where Lviv region is included etc.
