About the Journal
KWARTAŁ is a magazine published by the Student Research Circle of Spatial Economy at the University of Lodz SPATIUM since 2003. Its aim is to interest students in Lodz-related topics and the broadly understood issues of urban and regional studies and planning. The papers published in KWARTAŁ cover various issues: urban and regional planning, urban and rural revitalisation, sustainable transport, real estate, urban and regional development, local governance, environmental protection, culture, place marketing, etc.
The editors encourage all interested parties to cooperate, in particular students, graduates, academic staff and practitioners. KWARTAŁ publishes articles, essays, photo essays, reviews, as well as other papers that do not fit into the before-mentioned categories.
